    Description

One pair of mounting brackets for Sortimo, Bosch L-BOXX tool and storage cases.  Brackets may be used secure the L-BOXX on a shelf, rolling cart, dolly, wall or counter top type installation by creating a mounting nest.  The L-BOXX snaps onto the locating features.  Each bracket  has 6 clearance holes which will work with up to a #10 flat head fastening screw.  These brackets are manufactured using a 3D printer.
See the following YouTube video showing a strength test comparison to other toolbox clips available for purchase,  this clip set is more than 5X stronger:

Use of up to 6 flat head screws provides greater durability, because the flat head is at the top of the clip, compressing the entire clip, especially the top layers. Other designs use a recessed pan head, which isn't as strong, for a very heavy box and road conditions the top part of the clip can effectively peel off at lower shock loads.
These brackets are constructed of ABS plastic which has better impact strength and are suitable for the high temperatures of a work van or truck in the hot summer sun, plastics such as PLA and HIPS will stress relieve in the higher temperatures. For instance if the clip system is used on a wall or ceiling, the load of the L-BOXX will cause a PLA or HIPS plastic part to deform to the point of failure. Where as an ABS clip, which is the same material as the L-BOXX will not. PLA is more brittle and fractures more easily under an impact load as well.
A Nylon plastic version is available thru Shapeways.com, and may soon be offered thru I-Materialize.com.  The benefit of the nylon version, is a superior strength at high temperatures, uniform density and superior surface finish. The downside is considerably higher cost and longer shipping time.
Preliminary load testing with a Sortimo L-BOXX model 102 holds in excess of 220 lbs tension without any sign of failure or excessive deflection. Keep in mind that road bumps can easily create g-loads in excess of 4g, which in effect increases the weight of the sortimo box by over a factor of 4. If you are traveling with stacked boxes in the clips, put the heaviest box on the bottom.
