This cable can be used either in home with PC or in car with cigarette lighter power to save batteries. Even can be used at same time.
Cable from cigarette lighter plug to 9-pin PC serial port connector is approximately 3.5 ft. PC serial port connector to GPS connector is 3.5 ft. It works with Garmin eMap Geko 201 301 and eTrex series GPS receivers (eTex,Cemo,Venture,Legend,Summit,Vista).
Cigarette lighter cable departed from PC connector for your convenience used in car.
The cable is shielded and comes with ferrite filter to provide best EMI performance. Just like Garmin made cable.
This cable allows you to download upgrades from Garmin website as well as using laptop while in travel for realtime moving map track.
