    STUDIO WORK MUSIC
    COMPILITATION
    CASSETTE TAPE
As many rock and roll archivists now know, amidst the incredible collection of rare records, gold record awards, test pressings of rare and not so rare records, unreleased test pressings, documents, photographs, photographic transparancies and other incredible musical memorabilia uncovered in the private archives of a former music executive who worked at Philles Records for years there has been discovered a small group of recording studio work tape cassettes from 1995 that Phil Spector used as part of the record production process in producing major recording figures including The Ramones, Yoko Ono and the focus of this decription, Celine Dion.
For reasons that are now both infamous and obvious to most Celine Dion and Phil Spector collectors alike no music that was created in the 1995 recording sessions involving Dion and Spector has ever, as of June 1, 2021, been released for distribution by either Sony Music or Philles Records.
The only music from those 1
995 legendary recording sessions that has ever
been released are sonic samples from a small handful of largely unlabled recording studio production work cassette tapes. So far, only two of the tapes contained all three Celine Dion songs that were produced by Phil Spector and one of those three songs is a practice run through with Spector coaching Dion through the song as she is singing the song.
The three songs that have Celine Dion singing from the Spector recording sessions of 1995-1996 are
“Is This What I Get For Loving You?”, “Tonight I’ll See the Morning With Him” and “What Am I Gonna Do?” The last song “What Am I Gonna Do?” features Phil Spector singing along and calling out instructions to Celine Dion as Celine is singing the song.
One of these two unreleased and unlabeled studio production cassette tapes containing all three Celine songs that were produced by Spector sold back in January 2021 for 15,000 US dollars.  The other tape is the same Celine Dion / Phil Spector Recording Studio Production Cassette Worktape that is being offered here now. But this packed studio production cassette contains not only all three Celine Dion-sung Spector produced performances, but the following additional songs:
    1)
Three additional Celine Dion vocal takes/mixes of “Tonight I’ll Spend the Morning With Him”
    2)
An instrumental version of “Is This What I Get For Lovin You?”
    3)
Two different versions of Phil Spector himself singing “What Am I Gonna Do?
    4)
An addition track of Phil Spector singing a song as yet unidentified.

This is part of a selection of tapes, acetates, test pressings and records from the collection of a Director of Promotions for Apple Records who also worked in the executive office of Phil Spector Productions back from the early 1970s.
This professional studio cassette tape was one of Phil Spector’s personal work tapes. I would say that this tape just like an acetate was used for making decisions about the final mixes of the songs on the album.
As I said, The former Philles Records employee who owned this studio worktape set also worked with Phil Spector on a regular basis. I was told by this employee that Phil Spector frequently discarded record production materials, recording equipment and records once he no longer needed those items.  This professional cassette tape came from the same collection of records and acetates as the A&M Studio Label Acetates that I sold months on Ebay that were used in producing the  “The Concert for Bangladesh”three record box on Apple Records featuring George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Billy Preston, Ringo Starr and Leon Russell.
Please Check my other and future listings for more rare Philles and Apple Records records, acetates and awards. This acetate will come with a Letter of Authenticity signed by myself. My name is Christopher Chatman and I have been writing and dealing in acetates and extremely rare music items since 1977. I have written numerous articles including one that I wrote in the 1990s called "What is an acetate and why do they cost so much money? That article was published in the 1990 book "Goldmine's Rock N' Roll 45 rpm Record Price"
Thank you to all the customers who have made the sale and distribution of this most unusual collection the growing experience it continues to be today.
